I doubt that they would be on your radar, but just in case I will warn you about Rebel Tanning in Ontario. When I looked around for someone to do my caribou hide hair-on, they sounded great. They had the skin for over 2 years! I just got it back.
Pros: They charged only $150 for the job, and the tanning is beautiful...soft, perfect leather. No smell, undamaged fluffy hair...very nice.
Cons: It isn't my caribou! Bullet holes in the wrong spots (basically all over!) and completely wrong colour pattern. After a couple years of back-and-forth with those guys, I've had it. I'm keeping it, but my "trophy" is now just a souvenir.
