If a person was to say....load 2...530 round balls weighing 225 grains each, over a charge of powder suited for a 12 gauge slug load. What would you use as a buffer in it?

They used to make a white plastic buffering compund at one time that you poured around buckshot and such. Where to get it is the guestion now a days.

I remember that stuff....I was thinking maybe a little uncooked 5 minute rice.Center 1 ball in the wad,a little rice to fill up the area, nother ball on top and rice for the finish.2....530 balls with rice should equal out to a 1or 1.1/8 ounce load. That should do some serious damage to a target me thinks.

i use cream of wheat for buffer in my buckshot loads and for my blank loads (wad filled with cream of wheat)
