Bug Splat Target Thread?

When I was very young, I had a Daisy pump action BB rifle.
Myself and a couple of my friends would smear a piece of cardboard
with whatever gory substance we could find. {fish guts were a favorite}
Then we would stand back about 20 feet with our BB guns and when the flies landed,
we would pot them.
We actuallygot pretty good at hitting them, too.
Lots of fun!!

About 35 yards... with Federal 525.... using this...

The shots in the general area are not multiple tries. I was re-sighting the scope after moving it from a different rifle.

ps.... sorry if the pics are oversized, photobucket changed on me and i dunno how to use it yet. lol

I might have some time tomorrow so will try a couple of things like a sugar solution on an 8 1/2 x 11 inch piece of paper.
Shots per hit so 1 would be a perfect score but a minimum of 5 hits must be on the paper and spaced so there is no doubt it is a separate hit.
The one I posted earlier while it is two hits with two shots it would score 2 / 1 = 2.
Any suggestions for categories?
Might be more fun that shooting 30 + rounds at 100 yards.
As a kid I would shoot flies around the stock trough with a Daisy Pump.

The trick may be to use a larger piece of paper.
Used a 452 Varmint and a 452 American as well as a 541T.
By the end of the day I had 4 splats but none that were encouraged onto the bait paper were hit.
A little windy and cool which was not conducive to a good fly shoot.

WoW, I started this thread a year ago. Can't believe people are actually doing this. LOL Awesome. Target shooting and eliminating pest all at the same time, what better past time can there be?

I propose the following competition rules:

2 Classes:

Hardcore (iron sight only)

Open (optical sights)

As horseman2 suggested we can count #of splats/#of holes *(distance/50yards) *100

Example: You have 3 splats / 4 holes at 25 yards, then your score = 3/4*(25/50) * 100= 37.5
If you have 2 splats/5 holes at 100 yards, then you score = 2/5*(100/50)*100 = 80

So you are rewarded for shooting at a further distance.

You do have to post your whole target, not just a portion of course.
