Build a giant tumbler

ok you work on getting a motor and drum.once you get give me a pm..we will hook up and i,ll make a frame and rollers to suit the motor and drum..
the motor and speed controls from the other one i made up were taken out of a tread mill..
dont worry about any welding ,i happen to have a connection;)..we willl make the frame and rollers the same as other one...just wee bit bigger:D..

Cocked&Locked plus fogducker now there is a perfect marriage.

Fogducker had his machine up to my place last year. It works every bit as well as it looks.

I'm positive, and maybe a bit fearful of the contraption you two will build. b:

we will be building a king sized vibrating tumbler:D

any good sized heavy duty plastic drum you can find..or as an after thought here......we could use a recyle bin also..

we will make up a stand when we have a better idea of how big the brass container will be
 
The fastest rotating tumbler I ever saw, had the center line shaft offset about 5 degrees. That threw the brass from end to end as it turned. you could also turn it a little faster because of the added action. I'd think it would work especially well with a larger drum

you and i will be teaming up to to make the vibrator tumbler:D..i think the 20 liter pails might be a bit weak,,but what the hell,if they wear out after a few tumbles ,who cares.every one has some kind of access to spare ones..
did you get my email i sent??
 
I don't load 9mm, but my Dillon holds over 1000 357mag cases.
I can't imagine wanting to run anything larger in my house. :eek:

Looking at your email, a large plastic salad bowl might be a better shape for agitation. Closer to that of a commercial unit.

I was thinking puting together a smaller version of fogduckers tumbler, but what are you guys using as bearings or bushings on the end of the rollers?

thats an idea on the bowl..as im sure theres a reason why all vibrating tumblers have a salad shaped bowl type..
im thinking of a huge stainless bowl like the ones at princess auto,and lining it with some of that roofing rubber they use on flat roof tops...

i have an idea;)

think you can get Gator(frenchie) to line us a big sald bowl in roofers rubber?
 
Electric cement mixer works well, plastic drum and you can build a second lid to screen off the brass. Spins at around the right rpm for brass cleaning.

Bed liner, the spray on stuff might be better.
