Wow, the last time I read one of the Conservation Guru's posts, he was talking about getting a couple of grizzlies for his little piece of heaven. Is he still also blathering on about vast herds of elk and other critters as well?

Oh, well, almost 500 acres; surely that patch is big enough for a balanced ecosystem of predators and prey...isn't it...? :rolleyes:
 
Unfortunately good hunting spots are getting fewer and farther away from the majority of us as agriculture and development take precedent over wildlife habitat.

By 30 years old I had invested in habitat close to what the entire Manitoba Fish and Wildlife Enhancement Fund has collected in one year of white tail deer license sales. ($5 from each license sold goes to the Fish and wildlife enhancement fund as of 2014, and actually only a portion goes directly to habitat aquisition...only took them 30 years longer than Saskatchewan to get this fund going.) Not as much land as I'd like but gotta start somewhere.

Now I am looking for like minded hunter conservationists to put their money where their mouth is and invest along side me to help protect the habitat, preserve several genetic bloodlines of keystone big game species, and develop private hunting opportunities mirroring world class trophy hunts but within our own province rather than having to go to the U.S. or overseas.

If you don't want to invest you can put your name in for draw or deal with season closures if you're a white guy. Wildlife in manitoba is disappearing pretty quick. 20 years and there won't be moose or elk hunting at this rate. And the caribou herds will be gone. So you will have little opportunity to hunt in the future unless either you're an indian or you own land.

Best of luck public land hunting this season for bucks only comrades.

I will wish you luck but it's going to be a hard sell
A guy can get a incredible hunt trip in Alberta or BC for a lot less money
 
If you are a half decent human being and are not lazy you will have next to no problem getting access to prime land in Sask. Im drawn for elk and approached a land owner who had the Sask typical record bull shot on his land last season, he's drawn for a bull this season and he still gave me permission after he fills his tag. Being courteous and polite go along ways.
I dont doubt the OP has issues getting on prime land simply because he's a pompous ass...evident by his posts. Now he has some hairball idea to get fools to give him money for his shooting zoo.
 
A fenced in game reserve, sounds like shooting fish in a barrel, run them in a corner of the fencing and done.
