Customer build of our Maverick rifle. We were happy to assist in a further upgrade, check out the change from Holosun to Vortex and from Mil-Spec trigger to TriggerTech
I love this! All it needs now is a bayonette lol
We all are man; we all are for sure.Still waiting for Conservatives....
So I just wanted to post an update. After contacting MRA warranty department and discussing my issue, they shipped a new part and it seems to have resolved my "hard to extract" issue. After sending approx 75 rounds through it today I only had a couple sticky extractions. Started working up some hand loads and several of them were sub moa groups. So things are looking up, been a bit of journey but it's coming together. In my experience the Renegade is a bit of a crap shoot. My 300BLK had extraction issues from day 1, even tried super light reloads and still sticky extractions.
So I spent a pile of $$ converting it to a 22ARC with a Faxon bolt and match barrel. Well... wouldnt you know it! Can't extract the rounds on that either. Right now it's a pricey paper weight!![]()
Ahhh ….. so say i convert my Noveske AR to this…… how do i tell Mirimichi i now have a non restricted……. And is my old reciever still prohibited/ blacklisted ? And just cut it up or something and mail it to them
Did the same. I went for the Taipan X just because of the pump option, despite many disadvantages, e.g. awful trigger, heavy weight, lack of customization, quirky BHO, etc. Otherwise, I would have chosen the Renegade. @Deathrawt makes an excellent point, this would be a significant upgrade.Guys please please please make a pump action version! I went with the taipan x over the par and the renegade as it had the ability to use the pump or side charge. Aside from bench shooting, the pump action is significantly better for most applications. I love the taipan x to be honest (would rather have my ar's out though) and am now looking for a 308 option.
The quality of your product is excellent from what I have seen and the ability to use most ar15/10 parts is highly attractive...... Just need a pump lol

This is a question for the people who want a pump version, presumably for quicker follow-up shots. Have you tried the Renegade or Maverick with the charging handle placed on the same side as your trigger finger? In this configuration, your support hand can stay fixed to the front of the rifle, driving the stock into you so can stay on target better with follow-up shots. You can fire accurate shots off pretty quickly this way, if that's the concern. Where you might lose a couple tenths of a second in the time it takes to get off a follow-up shot, you might gain in the time it takes to get back on target compared to a pump action where your support hand is constantly shifting the rifle slightly off target on a reload.
you can't deactivate yourself, but you CAN destroy it yourself, you have to report it "when it cease to be a firearm"..You can’t destroy or deactivate yourself you’d have to send it somewhere. You won’t get much for it in the buyback either. There was a story of a guy in New Brunswick who only got half the posted value because he handed in upper and lower receiver only. I’d wait till October and see what happens
I second this, I just lost out on a Troy PAR and now I am looking for a pump .308 that can take the LAR pistol mags. Seems like the options are really limited here for that but I am not the biggest fan of straight pulls. A handy 16" pump 308 though? That would be fantastic.Guys please please please make a pump action version! I went with the taipan x over the par and the renegade as it had the ability to use the pump or side charge.
