Hi guys, I am contemplating building a 350 Remington Magnum on a
Winchester WSM action (M70 CRF action).
Does anybody know if this is doable without any action modifications or
if it will create feeding issues with the Remington case.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know about the feeding but I have an excellent reamer I would sell... if interested PM me...

It SHOULD work like a charm but have never done it so I can't say for positive. You could always just build a 35 WSM....................

The 35WSM did cross my mind, reason I went with the 350RM is because I already have one in a M7 Rem and now I want one with a CRF action.
I have lots of brass and ammo and I quite like the caliber in my other gun.

If you have one or have a buddy that has a Win in a WSM you should be able to fill the magazine and see if they feed correctly. The WSM is, as you know, fatter than the 350 case so will feed right up and into the chamber far enough to see if it is going to work.

i know one guy that has done thart the past and ill try to find the info and report it.

it was my project too but good luck to find a lh action.

first you need a longer mag.

medvedqc, are you saying that I need a longer than standard WSM magazine length?
BTW I am not looking for a LH action.
Thanks

that wsm action is perfect for the 350 rem mag, as it allows bullets to be seated out to 3".One of the very best actions for the 350 rem, I've had 6-7 350's they are great cartridges

Grit, do you have one presently in 350 RM?

I have one in a ruger, which allows seating bullets out to 2.865", which works but the Winchester wsm action is better for the 350 rem

Suspect finding ammo, dies and brass for a .350 Rem Mag would be far easier than .35 WSM. Either way, find that first.

I have had a couple, built the last one on a std Mauser Action. Perfect for seating the bullets out as far as you like. By playing with col, I can get 2600 with Speer 250 gr bullets, good accuracy and case life. It is a marvellous North American all around rifle, if that's what you're looking for. - dan

Yes Dan, that is what I am looking for. The Ruger was the only CRF action that came close to what I want, problem is that it wasn't a Winchester,
and I love my Winchesters, I just want to make sure that things like the extractor and bolt face differences won't
cause me any headaches since the WSM cases are a little bigger diameter in the head area, assuming then that the bolt face, extractor and
follower work well then I am home free as far as I can tell with the mag box and feeding since the cases are very similar.
