Building a 50 BMG

Does any one know if there is a 50 cal action out there with a clip that I can buy and build on ?
Thanks

I say, you should do a lot Research first before dumping A load of Cash one a Toy. there are many Action that Can Accommodate the 50cal, Look for the Best, don't just go for the Local.

Gunboy,

What do you suggest? I'm not aware of very many Canadian-accesible actions that have the option of a 50BMG bolt face.

On top of that, I'm not sure if it was intended, but you came off sounding a bit "anti-ATR". They produce good 50's

Those BAT actions are very nice....are they available in repeater though per the OP's request??

Is the Barnard 50 action still available?

What about that one out of Montreal (can't remember the name)?

Does PGW still offer actions?

Aye.................

The proverbial anti Alberta Tactical comment from GunBoy.

Schoots; do your nosing around. See what your options are. And make your own decision.

We currently have nothing to offer for 50 although that could change in the future....

doesn't matter who you buy the gun from, there are action out there that can Accommodate the 50cal, do your research, there are much info out there, yes even in CANADA, there is 50cal action available.
I am not Anti anti body, but one thing I know is that I am is:Anti Bandwagon, people should be able to buy what they wanted, not from pushing or shoving. from the sound of some of the Attitude I see, doesn't really help Alberta Tactical rifle in any way(hurt the for the Long Run).

are they Gaulin actions, from Armtech,, not sure it just comes to mind LOL

I know Bernard makes a good 50 cal action , which is probably what I will go with, however I know it is not a repeater. My father inlaw has all the reloading gear for the 50,which he says I can use anytime I want for a small fee .
Does anyone know if the Bernard action will fit into the AI stock ?

Having owned an ATRS 50 for a few years, I think that I can vouch for his product and workmanship, both of which are first-class.
Best of all when dealing with Rick is the endless technical support as he is never any farther away than a phone call or an e-mail.
Regardless of how dumb my questions have sometimes been he has always responded.
As for reloading expense, I don't think anybody familiar with the cartridge would assume components to be cheap, however it pays to shop around.
Mine burns 220 grains of powder per shot ...thats not cheap.
On the other hand I've found lots of very good Lake City brass for a dollar per case.
I use custom made bullets, not cheap but cheaper than super premium match bullets.
Some 50 shooters use the military FMJ pulls that can be found in abundance at gun shows.....I do not and will not because I consider them to be crap.

Just my 2 cents worth....

hey schoots , this is your father in law here . i don't recall saying it was a small fee for the use of the reloading room at all but rather a fairly hefty one.
call me and i will give you the name of the guy that built my 50 (just got to dig up the paper work ) he's in calgray somewhere . be a good one to talk to and get some info seeing thats what he builds the most of (50's). i got a great tasco for your build you can have.
