Building a Classic Sporting rifle -update post #260

I need to find something to make the solder a darker color. There is a few visible lines where the rib meets the barrel and right where the rib meets the knox form behind the rear sight on the top of the barrel

what a cool project man, love it!

question.... where does one aquire a threaded barrel bushing for the LE receiver?
thanks, and other than getting one from me about 6 years ago I'm not sure. the can be made like mine (a copy of the knox form) or way simpler, juts an external thread and an internal thread about 3/4" long

the threads i used making mine were 1"- 14tpi 60* on the OD and 13/16-20pti ID

Are you going to nitre blue the small bits so they stand out from the "crowd"?
i ended up using flame bluing to set them apart. i just heated them up until the blue started then let it sit in the air for a second to get he color i want then dunk in hydraulic oil to stop the color change.

the bolt head retainer spring and mag release worked out well. then the ejector and trigger guard screws are way brighter then the pic shows, and the front trigger guard screw has some tan to purple/blue on it, looks very similar to the cch
