Building a close bolt sten

I’ve been doing a bit of research about building a semi automatic closed bolt sten. From what I have found, as long as it fires from a closed bolt and is semi auto it should be no problem. There is even an FRT for home made MK2 stens. While looking for receivers I stumbled across a company in the States that produces semi auto closed bolt tubes for Mk3 stens. Anyone out there have any idea if these would be legal/importable?

Currently the RCMP consider a block of aluminum to be an M16 so I'm doubtful that you'd be able to import any parts or kits from the US. Keep doing your research. You'll need to be beyond 100% that what ever you build can't be ' readily converted '. gl

Parts kits are ez pz to get over, jjust use an importstion company. Plus we consider the sten magwell the "weapon" where in most cases its the receicer
