Are you finishing it in a Soviet style stain?
Could you have used a Polymer AK pistol grip? Would the modifications been too much?

To use an original AK grip all you have to do is get a new bolt and cut the pistol grip plate off of the VZ.

Putting on the stock will be the hard part. What are you going to do? I have made two stocks now and it can be a pain in the butt.
