Hey guys, has anyone had any experience with getting some parts from the US?

Was thinking of buying a lower here in Canada (as I believe that is what is considered the firearm) and ordering the upper and so on from the states. I have a buddy of mine down there who owns a gun shop and can get me some better deals.

I do however feel a bit nervous about customs, has anyone shipped parts over the border like this before? If its not considered a firearm I then assume I wouldn't need an ATT or any sort of formal declaration but does the guard inspecting the package know that?

Please share your experiences or advice, thanks

Non exportable without a permit and they will basically #### you around to make you go away before they give you one. Plenty of companies up here that can get you what you need without all the BS.

The folks at irunguns are working on some nodak spud stuff for me. They said they will probably be set up to do it some time in january. I want to build a cool trigger charging handle prototype ar. For retro stuff nodak is the only way to go.

The problem is not customs... Is getting the stuff out of the US. Your friend that has the gone store is taking some serious risk if he is willing to ship you stuff. DHS will shut him down and send him to jail if caught...

That would be good but they are still not registered with DOS and have no export lic , so it could take a long time, ive been askign them for 3yrs now all it get is no thanks....

Makes you wanna cry doesn't it? I'm currently trying to put together my first "personally built" AR and it seems that all the cool things that would be great on my AR are extremely hard to get in Canada. It's just not Goddamn fair!!:(
Also we are currently in the wake of the latest US presidential election. Seems there is always a shortage of gun stuff for about 6 months after a lefty president gets elected.

Anyways, good luck finding the parts you are after bud! We're all in the same boat.

Thats a shame I think nodak is the only one that makes a trigger charging handle upper.

I think he has an export license. Neither of us wants to do anything Illegal so I guess we'll have to talk about it in more detail and enquire through the proper channels.

This company ships to Canada from the US *hot linking - please see forum rules.

I haven't ordered from them but under each item they state if they won't ship to Canada. As long as that isn't there an item should be good to go, shouldn't it?
