I almost have my "transitional" rimfire Tommy gun where I want it. It has the Canadian made kit sold by FAB, ribbed shorty bbl, just got a replacement round bolt handle that was as close as I could get to the actual M1A1 bolt knob. I even managed to source original sling swivels, steel buttplate with trapdoor and a trio of original mags to serve as a base for Ruger 10 rnd factory mags.
I also have a reasonable facsimile of the Cutts compensator, but it's lacking the classic shark's tooth front sight blade. Anyone fabricate their own version for a rimfire build or know where I could source one? I was thinking that perhaps I could cut and weld one from a 1903 Springfield to match the bbl. diameter and drill and tap for a set screw to keep it in place. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
