Hey guys so I completely forgot I had an NEA upper and lower sitting in my safe, and below it i found about 2000 rounds of 7.62x39 ammo. first thing that came to my head was " hey, lets build an ar in 7.62. Is there any tips or anything you guys would suggest when doing such a thing? does a certain gas system work better than another? suggested barrel length and so on?

My only suggestions are

mags - the XCR 10-round pistol mags work great, and

BCG - my PSA has run flawlessly.

I have a factory PSA upper on a Bushmaster lower with an H carbine buffer.

For the bcg. Either run nea because they have a lifetime warranty which you will require every 3 months or 2000 rounds. Or you shell out 3-400 bucks on a lmt bolt, which i think is now discontinued. Or wait till irunguns brings in the psa again

there's a PSA upper in the EE right now for sale...I've got one and can't say anything bad about it...runs like a top.

Happily the LMT Superbolt still exists, part # L7R3B.:)

Questar can import it for you.
