Building my first AR

So I've decided to build my AR lower and admittedly I have not a second of experience so this will be interesting lol

So far I've got the following ordered all from vendors here...

CMMG Gunbuilders Lower Parts Kit (LPK)
BCM Stock Hardware Mounting Kit (Mil-Spec) AR15
Magpul CTR Stock
Magoul MOE + grip

I need to find a trigger and some tools
What tools will I need?
Which trigger do you recommend?

I would suggest a set of punches, armorer’s wrench, bench block, and a non marring hammer. To put an upper together I would suggest a vice block to clamp on the upper into a vice.

For a lower, about the only specialized tool you might need is the wrench to tighten the castle nut which secures the buffer tube. AR wrenches do other jobs around the rifle, of course.

I use a Rock River two stage trigger, obtained from Questar.

Go check out TNA they have all you need. The upper and lower block and the wrench. They also rent head space gauges. I’ve used them several times and am quire happy. Good luck with your build.

I bought the LPK from Dlask and it has a really nice trigger for a standard trigger.
