Hello everybody!

I already posted this but it was in the wrong section. Thanks to people who have already responded with their suggestions already! Posting it in the right section now.

Im building my first AR15. Believe it or not, I have never shot one yet. Im quite new to guns. But I decided to build one instead of buying as this way I can learn how all the parts work and stuff. Im still doing a lot of research.

So far, I have Aero lower receiver and Aero buffer tube kit. Im still waiting to order DD lower parts kit, as none of the places have them in stock at the moment. I have Noveske CH and ambi safety on the way too.

I am looking for some suggestions in regard to the upper receiver, BCG and barrel. What manufactures are good? What should I avoid? What would you guys suggest I should get? Im still undecided whether to get a 10.5, 12.5 or 14.5" barrel. I should mention that I will be doing some range shooting as well as taking some Carbine operator courses and maybe CQB in the future.

I will really appreciate everybody's input.
Thanks.

Vadym.

IURs and Colt USA uppers can be found for bargain prices on the EE. Can't go wrong with Colt or Daniel Defence parts. I've got a Spikes BCG that I've also been very happy with. That being said, there are MANY other manufacturers who do a perfectly acceptable job for decent prices - I've for example owned several Armalite and Bushmaster rifles in the past that ran great. I wouldn't hesitate to recemmend their parts based on my personal experience, if you're on a budget.

I have just began the initial stages of building my first AR too. I have sourced myself a Spikes Tactical Spartan lower. I am a bit torn on what I want to do for barrel length though. Already have a 16" AR and a 10.3" AR. I am thinking either going with 14.5" or 18".

Decisions decisions lol.

Yep yep! Haha im in the same boat. So many different, good manufactures...

I'm not planning on using the trigger or grip supplied with a LPK. Going with a Timney or Geissele. I would like to get a DD LPK but seems like a waste to pay for the trigger and grip when I don't plan on using it. Guess I could source each part individually possibly.

Go Geissele, won't look back. I took my hi-speed national match -SR out today. I was super impressed, I really like two stage triggers on AR's. Was hitting gongs at 300 yard with a eotech 552 and 50m zero.

Arms East has SUPER fast shipping. Ordered Wednesday night, they shipped thursday xpresspost, got it friday same day as my trigger. Straight across the country too!

Couldn't be happier with my purchase with them.
