Building the Best Canadian Made Pistol Carbine (Non-Restricted!)

Based on more polling, and per client request
We are now deleting the carbon fiber option.

We will try to still get some in for those who wish to upgrade.

However, all barrels will now be 100% 416R Stainless Steel, same precision 5R button rifling.

Due to the savings of changing barrel companies, we are now able to use that saved money to include our take down handguard for FREE

We did look into non SS barrels, and the cost difference was about 20$, however the non SS would need to have a black nitrite coating to protect them from rusting, and that additional cost brought the price up to be nearly identical.
SS was the best choice!

Wise choice on switching to stainless barrels and including the handguard.

So does this mean that the Raven is now a 100% Canadian build?

Will the stainless barrels be bare, or will there be any finish options like a black cerakote?

+1 on moving to the stainless barrel, good move.

Still think deleting the AR style charging handle would drop the weight, improve the looks and not really lose any functionality. As for the optic height, there's many a riser that would solve that issue. Just my ¢2...

Hear hear. It just looks silly. And dual charging handles to accommodate a silly thing?

I'd have to agree. I'm digging this, but the dual charging handles leaves me scratching my head and feels like a design-by-committee decision. That said, thanks for working to bring this to market!

I can't remember if I've seen it in the thread previously, is the side charging handle non-reciprocating?

Sorry boy's but I think it's very clever of them to build a rifle with the ability for the user to decide whether they want to use it with one or the other installed. They already said you wouldn't have to have both installed at the same time. Some people like side chargers while someone who is familiar with the ar platform will prefer the rear charging handle. User frendly in my opinion

Hi - I have a CAD generated drawing with applicable clearances for the MVB ARC. Is there an email I can use to send it to?

After review of your drawing, it appears it should work without issue

First off, I'd like to take the time to thank our forum engineers (we won't mention any names) for showing us how we could save 0.03 Lbs!
To help make this incredible wight savings number really make sense, lets talk about spoons; An average dinner spoon weighs 25 grams, or 0.06lbs. So cut your spoon in half, and that's the massive amount of weight we just saved.

We really feel this is forward thinking.
We apologize to 50% of our pollers who wanted a top charging handle instead of side charging to suit their individual preference, but the weight savings made this a clear choice.
Hopefully no one wanted to use back up iron sights, because if you do, riser blocks will be now required and you'll look a bit @$#%ed up...
Or feel free to force your face downwards to try to get a sight picture. Comfort isn't important... right?

Do you really think the risers look better?

But seriously guys... Lets talk about what considerations went into the raven, in just this one single area.
1) Weight savings are so minuscule as the inside of the top charging system is obviously skeletonized, it's negligible.
2) We're introducing a system and concept to cater to literally every shooter in the world.
3) Optics remain at the comfortable height that you are familiar with, and the height is consistent as per every single well made firearm in the world.
4) It actually looks much cleaner when you don't have to add risers...

Other little things we did to make the RAVEN more comfortable that almost no one other company goes out of their way to do...
On the left and right side of the trigger pocket we added chamfers along all faces to give your trigger finger as much room as possible to comfortably rest.

Benefits
1) Allows you to keep shooting longer, without any discomfort. Competition shooting is all about trying to be as comfortable and relaxed in which ever position you are shooting in, to squeeze off perfect shots. When you're shooting for days, or weeks consecutively at big competitions, the last thing you need it your trigger finger bugging you and taking your mind off your game.
2) It shaves micro amounts of weight, WITHOUT a single drawback.
3) It looks great

Rest assured, we've done our absolute best to consider even the smallest things to ensure that the Raven is an absolute privilege to fire.

Currently the charging handle is reciprocating, due to the fact that the Raven is not a bullpup, left or right handed, you will not be anywhere near the charging handle as it moves.

Awesome response. It takes balls to talk to customers like this.

Keep up the good work.

This reply just earned you my business when you get them done.

OK, the focus on higher end, quality components has me hooked. I'm excited to put this in the safe beside my Vector.
But I see no discussion about the trigger. Triggers are a big deal for me. I have been spoiled by my Hiperfire 24C, so I'd like to know what the options will be on the Raven9.

We don't want to be rude or come off the wrong way, but seriously.

We're putting everything we have into this firearm to ensure that it is hands down, the most modular, user friendly, customization NR firearm in Canada.
100% built from the ground up to conform to all legislation we have in place to ensure it gives you the most features and freedoms to enjoy it.

We appreciate everyone's advise on our questions such as which barrels are really important to our customers. This is valuable feedback that helped point us in the right direction to ensure that EVERYONE is getting the best value.

Instead of saying "Thank you Canada" for choosing a more economical barrel and us keeping those profits... we've rolled those savings back into the Raven to include our handgaurd.
Has everyone seen what a good handguard costs? Not even to touch on the cost of a good handguard that is tool-less take down!!

We are doing everything to streamline our operation to save you money, while still ensuring that all parts are high quality and built to last.

Anyone requesting us to cater to their individual wants, isn't helping Canada as a collective group.
Has no one noticed that our government is continuously clamping down on firearms?

Trying to limit us in every way possible. Trying to make importing firearms even more costly and difficult for business through participating in United Nations guidelines.
We aren't just doing this to have fun, because we love what we do...

We're doing it to ensure when the laws keep clamping down, and they try to close our borders, we still have the ability to say..
Good for you Liberals!

But we're still here. And we'll keep making sweet firearms!

It's time we become ONE TEAM, with ONE VISION. Canadian Forces style!
Lets work together.

Instead of adding a competition trigger in the box, and raising the price a few hundred dollars, (A feature that the majority of firearm owners won't use), we've opted to make the trigger modular.
We will offer trigger upgrade kits for those who wish to have it.
