Built my own self indexing muzzle brake

After seeing and using many well made and designed muzzle brakes out there I set out to come up with something that I could call mine. I needed a design that provide me with a well balance between recoil reduction and still maintain my sight of the target or game after I sent a round down range. I've owned a few that allowed me to see my target but I was not happy with the muzzle blast to myself or shooting buddies next to me. I built a few prototypes and did some slow motion videos to provide the feed back I needed for the final design that I ended up with. It's been a fun little project and I'm looking forward to running it on my PRS gun this coming 2017 season. Video link is at the bottom. Thanks for looking

They are very effective brakes, I've tested them with the apa, the muscle, the muzzle brakes and more, the atrs gill brake and a handle of others. I ran this brake at the last milo prs match and was able to spot my own trace, hits and misses. The design of the ports is hard to tell from pictures but it eliminates muzzle jump very well, there is very little poi change when it is removed and recoil is non existent.

Thank you. That's a pad tied to the forestock to protect the finish while running in matches.

Got out to do some loads for a 115 DTAC today bit windy and didn't get a velocity but she was shooting pretty decent.

Thank you I'll be happy be with that 5 shot group if my velocity turns out to be where I want it to be. It's the Cadex Field Tactical with the competition forend on it.

Was out doing some poi testing today with and without my brake installed. Very happy with the results I found.
