Built the perfect do all rifle?

Nothing to do with where to rest the rifle... carry weight and balance and additional noise and awkwardness, and then there is catching on brush and grass etc... if a low bipod will work, so will your pack... by far my own preference, but whatever works for you... lots of ways to skin a cat.

I recently discovered that a Harris bipod has a handy triangle shape where the spring attaches to the main base. I can drop that bit into the plastic D-ring on the shoulder strap of my pack and I'm practically hands free. I wish I'd have figured that out years ago! I use a sitting height bipod here on the prairies.

Anyways, OP has an excellent all-around rifle in a great chambering. I prefer an MRAD reticle and a dope card but very similar. And the $$$...I use a Savage 116 300 WM and Leupold scope LOL!

OP, do you ever hunt Ross Ranch down by Aden? I shot three deer last week and am taking my wife out there tomorrow. The place is crawling with deer but those 300 to 500 yard shots are the rule, not the exception. :)
