I don't know if any of these have come into Canada. But three months ago a small lot came into the US. First in 10+ years I am told.
I bought one as a shooter just to play with. But, a week after using it, I wanted a really nice one. As close to new as possible. So I began to check Auctions and Dealers.
I saw an add for these at $60 US lower than any others. Curious, I called the Dealer. Asked me what I wanted. I jokingly said unissued if possible. He told me he would look at the dozen he was able to get from the Importer and call me back. He did and told me he had what he considered brand new unissued. So, I bought it.

Well, she sure was new. So, I ordered a second and a third eventually from him. All identical and new. A friend ordered one also. His was new.
How this one dealer happened to get about 12 of these new ones we do not know. Luck of the draw I guess. As far as can be seen so far, this guy got the most or all.
This small import quantity had mostly holster worn ones and some rusty inside.

All three look just like this one. I did put original Bulgarian grip on them later.

Enjoy! We won't get them as the barrel is too short for our laws... must be 4.2 inches or longer.

I have one of the pinocchio extended barrel commercial Makarovs Interammo get in for us up here. Very accurate little pistol. I love shooting it!

I had bought about 6 of them in the early 90's when we could still get such things. All were Bulgarian and brand new. The came with a holster, cleaning rod, and 2 magazines with matching electropenciled serial numbers on them. I sold 5 and kept one which I have since sold. It was well made with a few sharp edges and a good shooter. I think I paid around $150 and sold them for $200ish.

I kind wish I hadn't sold it, but I had a lot of 12.6 at the time and wanted to thin them out some.
