I actually didn't buy any because I have 500 rounds or so at home... you must have a really big gopher problem at home, or you are a terrible shot. Either way I love how you feel good about yourself because you only bought 3000 rounds in an ammo shortage

I don't understand, is the objective not to stock up when there is a good price and availability. Why do people keep saying stack it deep.
I also bought a few thousand. I don't think we will see those prices for some time if at all again. Feel bad for not buying more.
 
They guy doesn’t even understand what greentip is, wants me to buy more then lectures me about it after the fact. Pretty common on here and seems to be a theme of passive aggression.

The salt is real. Congrats on having 500 rounds, and If he wants to buy 3000 rounds who are you to judge. Go spend some more money and go cry somewhere else.
 
I am now shooting ammo that I bought 13 years ago at a fraction of the price for some of my ammo I bought then, instead of paying highway robbery prices for it in 2021. At that time, I was buying it as I suspected there may be an ammo shortage with Obama's election. Regardless of the rationale, I am am glad I stocked up when I did. The ammo is kept dry, cool, and will outlast the rest of my time on the earth. Ammo, like most guns, do not seem to depreciate in price, so there is something to be said that it can be accurately viewed as an investment.

I have a bunch of collectible toy figurines that are sealed in original boxes. Someone had the foresight 40 years ago to either buy a bunch of these or just not open theirs and I was the happy recipient of their efforts. Unless the store stipulates a limit when buying something, I don't think there is anything ethically wrong with buying as much as you can afford. It's the whole law of supply and demand. There are some who will say well, but just what you need...well, I took that to heart a year ago, bought what I needed and then ran out of toilet paper and had to drive 1 hour to my parents place to get a few rolls. I had an opportunity to get the maximum 3 packs of toilet paper, but my stupid justification was, well, leave some for everyone. All the other smart people grabbed their limit of 3, and I was stuck rationing toilet paper before I ran out. For ammo, it's not so much whether someone needs it all. I may be a means of exchange later or you can sell in a number of years once inflation continues to cause the cost of everything to go skyrocket.

Just my humble two cents, of course...
