Bulk .223

found a shop in red Deer AB sportsmans den selling MFS, russian ammo 55gr $200 for 500 rounds had lots in stock, never shot it don't know if its good or not, steel case imported by Ruag Ammotec Germany. bought 20 rounds to try. Cheaper than reloading.

There's not too much around. I just bought out SFRC, for the Oct 30 thing. They only had a little. Target Sports lists some........... CRAFM as well. I'm not sure why this is in such short supply. The manufacturers could add a shift, and pump it out. It's not like they couldn't sell it.

Gobles is where I bought my last case.

SFRC I'm sure sells it for around $440...yep...just saw the banner at the bottom of the screen

bass pro in vaugh often has cases of UMC 55 grain... used to be cheap like 9.50 per 20 but it went up (like all theyre other previously cheap ammo) in the last few months.

I'm interested in how you find this ammunition to shoot...that sure is a good deal and I'm in Red Deer myself every so often. :) I'm looking to feed my new M4.

The .223/.556 ammo situation is truely sad in Canada and I think its done on purpose. Make the ammo to expensive and no one is going to be shooting much let alone buying new guns and accessories.

Whenever I take people shooting they are shocked at the price of ammo and its a killer to get them into it.

This .50 cent a round crap for 223 is stupid. All they are doing is boiling the frog....and we are stupid enough to sit there and cook.

Remember when gas went from 40 to 70 to 1.00+ a liter? The freakin sheep in this country now see .99 as a "good deal"

That's bad. What's truly ridiculous is $470/1000 for non-reloadable, steel-cased 7.62x39. Is non-corrosive 7.62 that attractive to folks, because it sure isn't to me.

That kind of 7.62 goes for about $200/1000 in the US.

Williams Arms in Port Perry (Ont) has American Eagle and Remington UMC (plinking stuff) for about $500 per 1000...Buy in bulk and I`m sure John will cut the price....They also have S&B military grade 5.56 for about $450/1000....
