Please correct me if Im wrong but from what I know, Win dynapoint is a house brand for Walmart and CT. CT has the black box, Walmart has the White box.
Funnt that there is a $5 price difference. Anyway my queation is;
Is the dynapoint the same ammo as 333 and 555? Ive never bought a box of 333/555 but shot some with my btvs, su22 and cooey. The 333/555 jams on my semi auto but goes bang every time with my bolts. However the group size is alot smaller with the dynapoint with all of my guns. Infact the btvs shoots/groups the dynapoint the same if not abit better than standard CCI. And it was half the cost. Atleast last year it was.
Just wondering if the difference between Win HV is that it isnt copper plated and abit faster than the dynapoint and 333/555? Does anyone know the speed differences between all the Win 22lr ammo?
Dynapoint =
333 =
HV =
Thanks!

A .22 jamming or failing to cycle a semi-auto isn't unusual. Every .22 requires you to try a box of as many brands as you can to find the ammo your firearm will both shoot well and cycle the action of a semi. The cost of said ammo means nothing.
Dynapoint is a Winchester HP bullet type, not a brand name. Mind you, their brands are about the bullet weight. Dynapoints are 40 and 45 grains in LR and .22 mag respectively. The rest are mostly 36 grains. 40 for their Wildcat brand. The ballistics for the assorted Winchester brands is on their site.

the dynapoint is more of a round nose hp and the 222/333/555 stuff is a truncated hp. in my savage TRR the dynapoint is super accurate, don't think i have tried the 222/333/555 in it, and if i did it wasn't the best.

i haven't used dynapoint in a semi.

I've seen Dynapoints at several small gun shops and I don't think Walmart or Canadian Tire are in the business of supplying other retailers but I could be wrong.
In my Ruger 10/22 there is no real difference between Dynapoints and 333/555 packs. They both group around 1.5" to 2" and have the same PoI. Both function near perfectly with zero jams but so far I haven't found any ammo that jams my 10/22 much. Worst of the worst is still less than 1 in 200 shots.

Here are a couple of pictures i borrowed from the Winchester website. The Dynapoint is on the left and the 222/333/555 is on the right. You can definately see a difference between the 2 projectiles, as Spawn described.

The Winchester Dynapoint is a 40 grain RNHP, standard velocity round. It is extremely accurate in my 10/22, much more so than the truncated style bullet.I bought 8 bricks back in February at the Canadian Tire store in Vegreville on my way home from purchasing the 10/22 at Cabela's Edmonton. The rifle was a good price but they wanted too much for ammo so I purchased it at CT. I paid $32/500 brick
