As the title says, are there any sources for bulk .223 bullets in 55gr or 62gr? Can be OTM, FMJ or whatever, they are for closer range steel blasting and range fun.

Thanks,
Mark

Another option is Higginson Powder for bulk Hornady 55gr. FMJ.
Last bulk buy I did was 7000 bullets, but not sure if they still have that available.

I never thought of Higginson's, I will have a look at what they have. So far the winner is Campro from Budget Shooter Supply.

Thanks,
Mark

55gr FMJ Campros are great for plinking. Don't expect any accuracy from them. For a little bit more money you can buy Hornady 55gr SP in bulk that are much more accurate.

I really struggle with these 55gr SP Hornady for accuracy in two different Tikka CTR rifles. They're fine out to 300 yards or so, but definitively not a precise bullet

In my experience both can shoot well enough for most uses. Development can be a bit more involved depending on your needs.

Hornady does have cheap options for actual target bullets if you can find them. Their 55 HP and 68 BTHP pop up occasionally in bulk. They are easier to work with and have much more potential than FMJs.

For semi-autos i just run whatever is cheapest, that has been Campro for a long time now. 2-4" at 100m depending on the gun is good enough for me most of the time.

Campro 55's seem to be the best value for plinking bullets. Really wish they made a 62gr though.

Edit: Literally seconds after I posted: https://budgetshootersupply.ca/product/79884/

Dunno what the deal is, if it's old stock or what. Campro doesn't list these bullets on their site.
Looks like brownells sells the 62gr campro bullets. They get positive reviews.
I don’t think campro manufacturers these or the 55gr but that is just a guess

They look like hornady but that photo doesn't offer enough to say for sure. Campro just repackages their 55grn so it would be no surprise here. Hornady has put out two distinct 62grn FMJ-BT bullets. I learned the hard way after seeing my accuracy tank because I had mixed two different lots.
