Well it finally happend , I got a crappy box of bulk pack federal after all these years (my second to last box of it from the stockpile ), It would not run my SR-22!!! pop-fhitz, Bang, bang ,Ffitz....Bang ,FTF,FTF ,Bang,Bang....Pop:mad: ,winchester 333 Bang 25times, 25 more ,25 more and again and again ;)
Well Its not a bad thing as the 333's and 555's are cheaper :D

you could WRITE federal and complain- it wouldn't hurt- also it seems that 22 seems to have a 'due date" if you will- or "dead spots " on the rim- i don't know how many i've actually shot by simply rotating the round so that the firing pin hits a different location in the case- or by USING A GUN WITH A HAMMER instead of a striker

I know ,tell me about it probly shot 40000 rounds of this stuff , that is why I was so supprised. Like I said I stockpiled this stuff about 5 years ago , but looking at this box the bullets look pretty ugly dirty , I even tryed in my other 1022 and same problem.

I rotated one 4 times and then it went Bang , I did look at the pin marks as well and they were all deep .

I'd contact Federal and see what they say....then if they don't want them back I'd give them to someone with a Gevarm and see if it will fire them.

I prefer Federal to many other bulk packs out there, one things for sure I would avoid Remingtons LIKE THE PLAGUE, I haven't encountered these problems. I've had good luck with Wildcats as well.

Haven't had problems with the Rem. Thunderbolts, but I do clean my firearms on a regular basis.

Sounds like you got a BAAAAAD box of ammo, seeing as how I've never had a problem with the Federal bulk pack in any .22 I've owned.

Do you still have the box the ammo came in? Maybe calling/emailing Federal with the lot number might get you somewhere.
