Bulk target ammo

Anyone reccommend any suppliers that have good prices on decent .22 target ammo? I haven't tried alot of brands yet, but would like something that is reccommended by others. My rifle is a Mark II Mako by Savage. I have had good luck so far with Eley, and Remington Subs.
 
Half decent target ammo that has good bang for a buck is Fiocchi. It doesn't cost much more than any generic ammo but is very consistent. Good for practicing.
 
I've had good luck with Lapua Super Club. $53 for a box of 500. Not cheap but not the most expensive either. Every rifle seems to shoot it decently and some shoot it exceptionally.

I shoot Rem Thunterbolt Bulk package ammo. in my Ruger 10/22 and there are the best ammo for the price. I tryed many different brand and they shoot better grouping that other expensive ammo. Cheers !
 
Of the cheaper non target dedicated ammo most of my rifles seem to shoot the Federal Eagle 40 grain solids fairly well. Not match but still groups better and isn't as dirty as the others. The price has gone up but it's still reasonable.
 
I have been shooting Eley practice lately and it shoots very well out of my Mako. I shot a couple hundred rounds of Rem. subsonic's, they were OK, but a bit inconsistent. I saw somewhere that Remington has a standard velocity target round, but in my area, there's not much readily available other than your typical generic ammo like Winchester Dynapoints, Federal bulk etc... Once I find one that's fairly resonable, I might order a case so I have a decent supply. Is there any Wolf ammo in Canada? The guys on Rimfire Central rave about how good it shoots.

well, cyclone, you are in Toronto so my stash doesn't do any good to you.

Try this - if you have good store where you buy all your gun related stuff - talk to store keeper. Ask to bring what you want and tell him you guarantee buying this much of it in a year. With time you will be surprised to see that same stuff coming in steady, there are probably more than just you who likes it. And whoila! you have endless supply and storekeeper is your good friend and everybody is happy.
