I usually use red dot powder for all my milsurps cast load (12-13gr, called ''the load'' by Ed Harris).

I have found IMR red powder available at Higgingson powder. It's a copy of the alliant red dot, almost the same burn rate. I had to adjust my loads +-0.5gr to get the same velocity as with the red dot.
IMR red is a discontinued powder, but available.... I bought a few pounds.
You can load 550 rifle rounds with a pound!
