bull barrel and butlercreek folder 10/22? Anyone done it and got a picture or two? I am going to go this route and wanted to see how they look. Any advice also appreciated.

Someone should move this to rimfire.

I haven't seen any on here, but if you check out rimfirecentral, I'm positive someone has done it on there.

BC Folder locks up pretty tight actually. But I do think putting a bull barrel/scope on a folding stock defeats it's purpose. That's just me though.

if you are wanting acuaccy with the bull barrel, why would you want some wobbly folder?

My reasoning is that about 9 years ago I bought my ruger 10/22 and put the folding stock on it thinking it was the coolest thing ever. I agree I would go a totally different direction if I had to start over with what I know now. Anyway I used the gun heavily for a few years and then let it gather a bit of dust. I took it out the other day and cleaned it up and thought about selling it to buy a ruger target model with the adjustable synthetic stock. I read a few posts etc from other guys thinking the same thing as I was. The answer seemed to be to not buy the target model and to build up a standard 10/22. That advice followed by the warm feelings I have for my good ol ruger 10/22 have made me think "just put a bull barrel on the one I already have". As for it being "wobbly" it actually locks into place solid as a rock. The only wobble might be in the way the action sits, so I am thinking of trying my hand at bedding it as well.

He's 2 pics I've found on RFC:

He(-=DFOX=-) obviously made some changes to the basic stock, but that is a BC Folder.

And this one is by crazyTKDsquirrel, the link below gives you an idea on how he done it.

Update: I ended up going out and buying a target model that already had the bull barrel, and keeping my old 10/22 with the folder. After walking around with both of them I am thinking I will not put a bigger barrel on the one with the folder due to weight.
