Any of you fellas do this? Just watched a show on it, and was thinking I should do it this summer. What methods, and equipment do you guys that do it use?
Dave.
Not everyone has an electrofisher in their garage, but wow can you fill a boat quick!!
I actually catch them with a fishing rod and a piece of pipe cleaner on the end of the line.... they think it's a fly and grab it....
Not to sound dumb... but what is the purpose of catching frogs? Is it kinda like gopher hunting - a just-for-the-heck-of-it thing? or are they used for something?
Thanks

American bullfrogs are an introduced species in the lower mainland of BC.
They are killing off native species, so are Schedule C animals in the hunting regs

They were originally brought here for frogs-legs for the restaurants.
So hunt them for food, or for the environment!
Shoot them with pellet guns.PS I had frog legs in California last summer and wouldn't try it again. It was like eating rubber bands. The alligator was good though..........Harold
