Bull frog hunting

I actually catch them with a fishing rod and a piece of pipe cleaner on the end of the line.... they think it's a fly and grab it....

American bullfrogs are an introduced species in the lower mainland of BC.
They are killing off native species, so are Schedule C animals in the hunting regs

They were originally brought here for frogs-legs for the restaurants.

So hunt them for food, or for the environment!

I'm with Brad on this one. I used to use a piece of worm on a hook and dangle it in front of them. We don't have a season anymore for them around here though.

Ever tried crayfish. Almost as good.

Maybe the Manitoba frogs are slower than the rest. But they really arent hard to catch.

Get a metal ice fishing scoop and attach it to a short shovel or other handle. Get a spot light and canoe around at night, spotting thr frogs with the light, when you creep up on a frog smash him with the "Frog Swatter Scoop" and then while it's stunned flip it in the boat.

When I was a young fella I used to shoot them win my Win M92 SRC .44-40 using black powder and cast bullets. The trick was to shoot under them in the water so that they would fly up in the air.
