You could go with a .920 but go shorter to keep the weight down. Here are some of ours, to give you an idea... they are fairly light and very accurate;

Sweet looking setup, that's pretty much what I had in mind and wanted to make. If you don't mind me asking, roughly how much did it cost to set that up. I think I would stick to the normal 10/22 receiver for now just to keep the cost down, I don't have a lot of money to play with so I want to make the project as budget friendly as possible. I'm thinking just getting the stock, bipod and scope for now.
