Bullet identification

Anybody know what this is???

Bought a bunch of brass from a gentleman and he gave me a few hand loads to boot

Barnes XLC bullet

They used the blue coating to reduce pressure in some loads. It was short-lived and replaced with the TSX bullets with the pressure reducing grooves.

they work, part of Barnes R&D program sold to customers to experiment with )
Barnes have gone through quite a transition over the years
The blue coating leaves a bit of fouling in the bore, but not extreme

Trouble was it took a few shots to foul enough for a consistent velocity and poi IMHO
start using them then only a minor boar wipe

I still have 50+ 338 loads ready to go, finally shot off all the -06
