I have two boxes of Hornady .358 180gr SP, SS/PB Interlock #3505
A search of the Hornady site did not reveal any matches.
It's the SS/PB that I can't verify 100% ? I have found SS/PB = Single Shot Pistol Bullet ? Is this correct ? If so why Single Shot and Pistol ?
It is my thought to use them in a 358 Win, BLR for deer. I believe a 200gr is better matched to the 35 Cal bore, but would like to try these 180gr because I already have them. Thank you in advance for all responses / advice.

My Hornady 4th edition manual has a 35/180 SSSP, ( Single Shot, Pistol). It has the same part # as the bullet you're inquiring about, #3505.

B.C. .248
S.D. .201
Velocity Range: 1600-2400 fps

Listed as suitable for medium game.

As 9.3mauser intimated, you're going to over-stress that bullet, which was designed for the .357 Max., if you load it up to the potential possible in a .358 Winchester. Think varmint bullet!
I was thinking if the bullet slows to between 1600-2400 fps by the time it reaches the game, that should work ? But it may come apart before it gets to far from the muzzle ?
