Was in a LGS yesterday planning to buy a box of .308 110 gr slugs for my carbine . they had some Sierra in stock....but the price was $77 per 100. The last I bought a couple of yrs ago were around $30 bucks. I realize the U.S. exchange & inflation has hit us a bit but that's a bit much, I even asked the clerk if that was a miss-match price for a larger box, she checked but came back saying it was the right "new" price.

The 165 gr .308 box (100 pcs) beside it was priced $36.

It's not just the exchange. A lot of that is due to price gouging at all levels from maker to shelf due to the present panic buying in the US. It sounds like your LGS is trying to add to the gouging. Perhaps look into buying from more reputable sources such as Henry at Budget. He's kept his prices well in line during this present nonsense. He deserves our support for this faithfulness. I know of a couple of others locally as well but they are not CGN supporting outlets. You should check around your own area. You may well find that there's someone operating out of their garage in a similar way locally. In the meantime check out Budget's link above.

I ordered some 168gr HPBT SMKs from Cabelas with free shipping over $99. Cost was $54. Last time I bought 168gr SMKs they were about $46./100.

Free shipping over $99. is back on for a couple more days I think.

The exchange rate has very little to do with retail prices in Canada. More about government interference and the general higher cost of doing business.
Sierras are more expensive anyway. See if you can find some Speer 110's. None of either at Budget, but they do list Berry plated 110's at $16 per 100. And Prvi 110 SP's at $22 per 100.
