Bullet proof vests & armour.

I heard it's legal, for civilians, in most provinces except BC to purchase and own ballistic vests but not to own armour plating/vests. True? Where can we order bulletproof vests in Canada? And which brands would you recommend.

s&j hardware for new. frontier firearms for irish surplus. ive got both and the old irish stuff will still stop bullets no problem.

Thanks. Just found some shops selling ceramic plated vests. I guess it isn't considered armour. Only those with metal plates.

I guess Wiki is wrong...S&J Hardware sells ceramic plated vests...which they called "...armour...".
