I have seen this one used to pull hundreds of thousands of surplus 7.62.
The leaves push up slightly as the round is shoved up and then bite and pull the bullet on the down stroke. The next rounds pushes the bullet out and starts the process over again.
One you get the hang of it, almost one a second, using a short stroke Lee press.

I guessed it might be out of production as it does look fairly old and well-used (mind you, in a few years they'll probably be saying that of me) and you didn't say who made it. I though it might be from some manufacturer from yesteryear.
If you've got one that will fit a .223 bullet for my old Hornet, I might take you up on that.
StuartI have had several PMs asking to buy some of my bullet pullers. I found one still sealed in the original bag. I assume Forster is still in business and I hope they still make this unit.
I have a RCBS collet puller in one of the 6 stations on my turret press, for the occasional bullet pulling chore. Works like a charm.
But if I want to pull bullets from a few cases of milsurp, this is the puppy I use. I punch a 3/4" hole in the bottom of a plastic ice cream pail, and install it under the flange of the puller.
The case and powder gets thrown into a big bin. I use a large Dillon media separator to separate cases and powder, later. This is the one that fits over a 20 gallon bin.
The bullets just pop out the top of the buller and fall into the pail. The side of the pail has a hole in it so the bullets will roll out and drop into another pail. Once you are in the right rythem, you can pull about one 7.62 a second. Pretty slick.

I was just half interestedly reading this post(s) [btw I use the RCB collet pullers which work fine for the amount of times I need it but this Forester looks slick] and I came to the last post by Ganderite.....and I just howled.....OK Ganderite....there's an bunch of CGN'ers about to storm your Bastille in Corbeil!!!lol....humour...'the lube of life'
