good idea-I'm loading soft Privipartizans-I seem to remember someone said toothpaste was actually a good polishing compound if you didn't have the real stuff.
For what it's worth, I've used both the RCBS and Hornady collet bullet pullers and the Horandy is the better, faster and easiest to use of the two by far. IIRC, I got mine at Higginsons. From what can gather-the RCBS bullet puller is a better choice than the kinetic type bullet puller-but since I have a 9,3x57-I'm not sure if the collet is available for that caliber-anybody know?

.
For the amount of pulling I need to do the rcbs hammer is cheap and effective.
Now if you are pulling a 100 rounds I would come to hate it.

Mine did! ....... Break that is. junkI like my Frankford Arsenal one just fine. It'll probably break sooner than an RCBS
If adjusted properly, the Hornady collet puller leaves bullets with no dents at all. Usually the biggest marking comes from the brass casings scratching the sides of the bullet. They do work very well!I'd always heard the same thing though... Any device that actually requires grabbing onto the bullet and pulling it will damage it.
