I am just getting into hunting and would like to start to reload soon. Are there any good books or websites on bullet selection? Any suggestions?

This is a good website on bullet selection. Tell what cartridge you are going to reload and what game you will hunt and there will be suggestions forthcoming.
 
Try the bullet marketers websites?
Hornady, Barnes, Speers and the sort.
Amazing of the choices from each supplier.

The reloading books should give a pretty detailed account of
the performance of the product, although biased to some
extend I suppose.

Any library resources nearby?
Magazine rack, Guns and Ammo and numerous others.
Some you can access on line to save the expense.

Sorry, I haven't seen any books that deal with it. Probably because makers can change their product line so quickly anything in print would be out of date too quickly. Trawling through all the makers sites would be a way to find out what's available, but I suppose you've done that and all the makers are equally enthusiastic about their own product.
 
Cheeseburger, although I consider it a manual for the advanced handloader, the A Square manual has more information on terminal bullet performance on game than any other I can think of. Much of the information has an African slant, but all the same the information in there is pretty good . . . except what he says about the Lion Load bullets, when I got to Africa I discovered they have a miserable reputation.

This is a never ending learning curve with new designs and info every year, from each of the manufacturers. Just keep an eye on the manufacturers web sites or buy their manuals (lots of good reading re reloading as well) and read up on their line of bullets. Then come to CGN to find out what has failed miserably and avoid those bullets. Once you get into reloading you will develop your own preferances as will your rifles.
 
Starting with the calibre, then bullet selection, and game to be hunted might giv me a lead. Do you have the rifle(s) yet? I have compiled some load info from CGN members but rely mainly on the Nosler book and Sierra who list most accurate load with various bullets and powders. In some cases this imfo can be transferred to the maker of a similar bullet.
 
As a good reference and instructional book I recommend the Lyman Reloaders Handbook 48th Ed. ( There may be a newer edition by now). It's a great starters resource as the instructional section is well written and illustrated and it has a reasonable amount of load data from many different bullet manufacturers for just about every cartridge out there.

As was said the internet can greatly supplement the information but if you want a solid read and a good load data source that is the one I would buy.

I do have Lyman's 49th Edition on Reloading as well as Richard Lee's Modern Reloading Second Edition so I have been reading those.

I have been reading Chuck Hawks website and stuff off of German Salzar's blog as well...

x3 on the bullet manufacture websites ... very good info. Regarding reading material, i have found Hornaby, Nosler, and Speers, and Sierra reloading manuals to privide good info on thier bullets and designed use.
 
also another must for reloading really not much to do with hunting but a must have for reloading in my opinion is the abc's of reloading tons of info and really breaks each step down. also for manuals i use the hornady, speer, nosler and lyman but lyman is really my favorite and my goto manual.
 
The Lyman and Lee manuals I would say are the most holistic with variety of data and also more detailed instruction / pictures on the steps. If you already have those you are good to go. Myself I do plan to eventually buy them all though so i can deep dive anything specific I want (even if they power goes out ;) ).
