i have a Forster Ultra Micrometer Seater Die in .308 and today when i was reloading i had a few projectiles stick inside the die.
was like a hard core suction cup.

i was using neck sized brass with a .335 bushing
when i measure the complete cartridge it measures .337 around the neck.

should i go to a -.003 neck bushing?

other suggestions?

Sounds like not enough neck tension. I've had it happen when using improperly adjusted Lee collet neck sizing dies.
It sounds like the necks may have thinner walls than the neck sizing die was designed for so you aren't getting the necessary tension.
It's probably not so much a suction type attraction in the seater stem but a press/friction fit situation.

You may also want to check the seater stem to make sure it is clean and dry.
If its profile closely matches the nose profile of the bullet and there's a drop of oil spread around, there could an amazing amount of grip.
Only take a minute to check, but agree with LUTNIT, neck tension is more likely.

Saddam Hussein's cat prefers plenty of neck tension. (he was beaten as a little kitten)

Are your sure you are applying enough torque or is the duct tape ripping before the torque wrench clicks?

And when all else fails polish the inside mouth of the seater cup and remove any rough or sharp edges to stop it from "biting the bullet".

nice!!

i think i may have gotten lube in the seater cup.
it fits the 155gr scenar like a condom.

also on my next batch of rounds i will switch to the .334 bushing.

thanks for the help guys!!

Seems like your problem has been resolved already but I had exact same issue 4 weeks ago with 208 amax. I called Forster and they told me no warranty unless you send us the old stem. I kind of understand coz they wanna look at what's happening but I needed die for coming match so I ended up buying two stems from them for $9ish per. I sent my stem back with bullet sample, haven't heard back yet.
So I guess it's not that uncommon on these seaters. I thought I'd share.
