Any recomendations for bullet weight .

rate of twist 1 in 10
I was thinking 50 - 55 grn should I go heavier ?

Try 69gr sierra,s MK for target accuracy, and 55gr Nosler BT for hunting, your 1/10 should work okay with 69gr, never seen a 223 with 1/10 twist what make do you have.

For varmint shooting? No.
50-55 grainers is what it was designed for. A good 55 gr spitzer can be made to shoot very well.

It would be for varmint / coyote & target & it's a Baikal .

Vmax bullets shoot very well and are explosive on Varmints. 50-55grn

I think 69grn Sierras are meant for 1:9 or better but it never hurts to try them.

28.0 grs of RL-15 and a 55 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip worked out awesome in a Tikka - gave about 3140 fps with a velocity spread so tight we thought the Chrony was lying, less than 6 fps ES and real accurate.

Varget is an ideal powder for .223.

I use it exclusively in my .223, 6BR and also my 22-250.
