Bullets and loads we wish were still available.

One of my favourites!
I still shoot the snider, but not with factory ammo - I couldn't sit down for w while after first firing it, repercussions, ya know!
I have LOTS of other original C.I.L, stuff as well as ammo, I'll take some pics when I get a chance.....

:)Looks good guy, and predates anything I have,;) or have had. By the way, how's your uncle Wilf doing these days?

I knew a fella that used to work at the Quebec plant in the 60's. They used to supply Remington brass and load some Remington ammo. But, at that time , both were still owned by Dupont. Some hairy stories of guys walking around with buckets full of primers and a few crazy tricks pulled off.
When I heard that IVI was shutting down , I went out and picked up two cases of Imperial .22LR hollowpoints. They'll shoot with the RWS match stuff I've tried.
Absolutely the best gopher round I've used.
Be nice to have a Canadian ammo plant again. Be nice to see Winchester do some runs of some of the old brass to get some of the yesteryear guns going again. Lots of good stuff around that could come out of the closet with a decent supply of brass that didn't have to be reworked so much, with the right rim sizes and long enough to use. 9/11 put a crimp in some of those supplies.

There are a bunch that I wish they were selling loaded ammo for in Canada like the 9x57, 8x57I, 577/450 Martini Henry, 30 Remington, not to mention low pressure, short shotgun shells at a reasonable price. It would be nice to have an alternative to reloading. Here is a photo that I may have posted before that shows where Dominion took the Imperial name. They used to have royal related names for their grades of shotgun shells. I guess when they decided to pick one they chose Imperial.

Well I roll my own, but I wish they still made the 45-60 WCF. Photo below (pardon the excess lube, I hadn't wiped it off yet when I took the photo) ....

Very nice! I had a Regal box only that I gave to a gunsmith friend in Duncan. He had it until someone talked him out of it.
