Having trouble getting the bullets I need locally...I see that Brownells can ship many of the Sierra bullets I need...Has any one been buying bullets from Brownells and also wondering how expensive does shipping end up...I know the exchange is going to be stiff but you gotta pay that even if you buy local...Thanks.

That you can't export bullets from the States aside, shipping rates are set by the carrier, not the seller and are based on the weight, size of package and distance, first. Then you get to add brokerage fees.
The exchange has already been applied when you buy locally. You don't pay for that separately.
Talk to your local gun shop about ordering whatever you're looking for. Buy as much as you can and expect to pay up front. Just be advised that Sierra has suspended production on some of their stuff(174 grain, .311", Matchkings, for example.) so it just may not be available anywhere.

I have ordered from Brownells before but not bullets and was just looking through their site this morning...When you look at the bullet section and click on the filter app it says a lot of their bullets are available for shipping outside the USA...Heck I should just call them...........Well, nice lady says ammo no but no problem sending bullets north to Canada, although there are manufacturers that they handle that cannot be shipped due to the manufacturers lack of permit...The Sierra and Noslers that I need are a go go...Now to get an estimate on shipping...I like to buy local which involves a four hour drive south but these days selection, supply and price are pretty dismal this side of the 49th.

Lastgun, ITAR rules keep changing but bullets should still be on the permit list. At any rate, the cost to export adds up in a staggering manner so make sure you examine ALL costs.
In general, I can offer product in Canada at similar rates to the big boys or less. And supply is usually alot better. yes, there will be shipping from me to you but in Canada, that is actually not a huge cost.
Cheaper then the gas to drive 8 hours I bet.
