Bullets / Suppliers for IPSC?

I generally try and meet folks at IPSC matches to get them their product. Win-Win,...I get to go shoot, and people get their product delivered rightto their vehicle.

For Berry's, Ed and Colleen Piper from Brooks area run The Bullet Shop. They have an ad with prices on the IPSC AB website under the "Commercial or Dealer Advertising" section. I just got 1000 Berry's 200gr .40 to try from them this last weekend when I was in Brooks for the qualifier match there. Colleen may come up for our match, but she wasn't sure when I talked to her over the weekend.

Best part about using those folks is that they support IPSC in general, and you don't have to pay shipping if you meet up with them at a match. I'm typically buying 5k at a time from them, and getting that much lead shipped is cost prohibitive.

Ed and Colleen are excellent people. I have shot IPSC with Colleen. She is great to talk to and a wonderfull person.

If I lived in Alberta, I would buy from them to save on shipping.

200 grain? Berry's website doesn't list them.

Are they old stock maybe?

Do you know if The Bullet Shop has any more?

From my understanding the 200gr is what Ed and Colleen have been using for a bit. Their contact details (phone and email) are listed on the IPSC AB website under the Commercial and Dealer section.

from what i've seen with berry's in the past they seem to be poor quality
i've seen jacket separate from lead, key hole in plenty

I have noticed from recovered Berry's fired bullets in 9MM, 147grain, 130 power factor using tightgroup that the jacket has been burned from the base of the bullet. Have you guys seen the same thing from Campro or other brands? If Campro or another brand is less susceptible to this I will try them. Functionally its not a problem, but if the plating at the base of the bullets stays in tact I imagine I will be exposed to less lead vapour.

I shoot a 124gn 9mm HBRN-TP Berry bullet in my 9mm Major. It is a competition round, and has a thicker plating. My pf is over 175 in order to make the comp work properly. I have never had any issues with the Berry bullets, as you describe.

I shoot a 124g 9mm HBRN TP Berry bullet in my 9mm Major. At 175+ power factor. From Brad @ Custom Reloading. They work just fine for me. Never had any plating separation.
