I just picked up a halh ton of lead, 600 lb of range mined lead & 400 of pure lead. This should be all the cast I'll want

I know 1000lbs would not satisfy me. I guess it really depends on your usage. I'm down to about 500lbs of WW ingots and looking for more. I figure based on my pistol shooting habits 500 lbs might last me 2-3 years assuming I don't start shooting more

Let us know how the smelting of the range lead goes. A few people have said it isn't worth it due to the copper/other sludge in the mix. I'm thinking it will be fine, but let us know.

blacksmithden; they have been smelted & poured into 1lb ingots. The smelting was dont outside in a large cast pot,other than smoke & some smell they said no problem. I just have to cast & shoot now. AJ
