Bullpup law

Thanks for the info. The Walther G-22 may be treated as if it were a non restricted firearm, but it cannot be bought or sold, so I am going to count that one out.

A non restricted firearm that cannot be bought or sold?? How does that happen??

Haven't yet, which is probably a good sign. For quite some time, the stock prohibition was applied only to aftermarket stocks, like the Muzzlelite offerings, not to the stocks of bullpups originally made as such. There are prohibited bullpups, but they are specifically named. So, the G22s were sold as non-restricted. Then someone decided that the G22 stock was a prohibited device. This is an interpretation, there is no case law to back it up. Does anyone know if any G22s have been transferred since this business started?

The G22 is in limbo right now as the issue is before the courts. No new rifles can be sold but the owners can keep theirs and continue to use them as non-restricted.

There are no semi bullpups in the market simply becasue there are non that are not prohib by name and being produced for the civilian market. FAMAS and AUG are banned by name. Bushmaster M19 is a POS so who cares. Vetkor CR21 is a no go because it is simply a R4 receiver stuffed into a plastic shell(like the G22). There are only a couple of factory semi SA80s and they are all in the US. You will never see Singarorian SAR21 because SK did not even want to deal with the US LE market. The market is going to be interesting with the introduciton of factory semi only FS2000 and TAVOR 21.

And hopefully the Norinco's Type 97, which is the 5.56 NATO version of the 5.8mm Type 95....... and no, it is not a Kalashnikov in sugar coating. The action is quite different, it uses short-stroke piston(and the piston seperates), unlike the AK which is a long stroke action and the piston linked to the bolt, therefore I considered it as an indigenous design.

See the difference in the overall layout, and especially the bolt and gas-piston assembly.

Marstar from my understanding has shown no interest in the QBZ. Might have to look at another importer familliar with Norinco like lever arms. They seem to get the newer norinco stuff.

I think CanadaAmmo is going to bring in the IVI 'Tavor'. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Used to be called Israeli Military Ind. IMI
Now called Israeli Weapons Ind IWI
CanAm is the contact for Canada, but still feeling out the market for the Tavor.

That's strange because I managed to buy one yesterday :D It's already been transfered too.
