Bump firing

I will try to find the vid of the guy bump firing his AR. He was doing it from his shoulder, and seemed to be pretty accurate with it.

ok... I really have to know.

what is bump firing?

It's a technique used to get more rounds down range to simulate a full-auto while shooting a semi-auto. Your success at bumpfiring all depends on how the trigger is pulled in relation to the natural recoil of the firearm.

First, place the butt of the rifle against your tea bag. Then squeeeeeeeze the trigger. If you're man enough to stand the discomfort, the rifle will then recoil back into position once it has bounced off your nut sack. Repeat the process as described above until your mag or tear ducts are dry.

Please video tape your results and post it here for us to critique your technique.

Best of luck!

I've checked, it didn't say anything about this in the Canadian Firearms Safety manual - so it doesn't exist, except in some far off exotic land populated by strange people who haven't found Wendy.

Here is all you want to know about bump firing.
Pete is good at it..and notice he does it in the middle of nowhere..which for him is the desert in Calif.
I tried it..as mentioned above, very inaccurate and a huge waste of ammo.

Just plz .. be ever soo careful about bump firing as you CAN loose controll of your gun easily.

Agree it is a huge waste of ammo. It is fun to do if you do it properly, but I woulden't be caught dead doing it while other range members are watching.
YOu might get punted! :(
