Nice high rate of fire, around 1,000 rpm, if memory serves. I don't think the early Spitfires and Hurricanes had more than 15 secs of ammo when full-up.

I hope they're going to remove a vital part but put the rest of the gun on display as "made safe". Lock away that part.

It is amazing how thick the barrel jackets are on the 303 brownings. The air line goes into a 'flapper" type device that mounts on the bottom of the gun which fires the gun. The barrels are not that thick, so they really heat up.
