Yahooo, Sgt.RockRules04 came through with the Burlington Rifle Club. We have scored the Club for another M14 Clinic in the GTA. Here's a chance for you Golden Horseshoe M14 lovers to network and listen to my stale jokes. :D

* Date: Saturday 28 Feb 2009
* Location: Burlington Rifle Gun Club
* here's the link: http://canada411.yellowpages.ca/bus....html?adid=&tabSelect=&dymList=&origWhat=true
* Cost: $ 35
* Timings: 0900 start - Likely finish up around 1600 hrs

Material Covered:

- Tools for tweaking, tools to avoid, tools that are nice to have but expensive, tools that are overrated and too expensive
- Gadgets that are nice to have, need to have, and useless to have (but I had to buy it to show you)
- Tools that you can make yourself instead of buying, tools that you can have buddies (owe you favors) make up for you
- Stripping the boomstick (you will be surprised at what I can show you)
- Assembling the boomstick, and what to look for so that worthwhile tweaks can be or should be made
- Tweaks that work, tweaks that don't work, expensive tweaks so yer #### does not fall off
- Useless tweaks unless you have more money than shooting ability (many stories to follow at the clinic)
- Common pitfalls, expensive tweaks that work, more ways to ensure that yer #### don't fall off
- Lunch and then tweaking in the afternoon, shimming, pounding out more shims (all hands on activities)
- Lots of networking and socializing all the time. This is priceless (even if the $ 35 only covers my costs).

* Things to bring: your M14, some basic tools, notebook, pens, digital camera, rags, ball peen hammer, punches, screwdrivers, more punches, TIG Welder, Service Truck (vise for rebarreling), fired brass for us to measure, plastic or rubber mallet, wood block or 2, Black and Decker Workmate (clamping ability for your barreled action or stock), masking tape, duct tape, Loctite (blue and red stuff), more to follow as I remember or remind myself.

* More things to bring as instructed by Pointman/Coordinator Sgt.RockRules04:

1. P.A.L.
2. REGISTRATION papers for M-14's
3. eye/ear protection for range
4. rests/bipods/ammo etc.

* Registration: PM (don't use email) me on the board. I'll send you payment instructions. You can choose EMT (electronic money transfer for you online banking fans) or Snail Mail cheques/buried cash. Just got a M14S for Xmas! Watched all the sticky videos here too. Good work by all involved for sure. I don't want to start a new thread just to ask a question so here goes: Are the latest Norinco barrels threaded the same as USGI or other aftermarket ones? I think it was Fulton's where I read the Chinese ones are different.

Thanks in advance. This is a great forum!

Hungry here: Here's the situation: Forget what Fulton's site says about the Norinco's because they are referring to the Norinco M14's KRAP from the early 1990's. That was then , and this is now. Current batches have USGI threads INTO the receiver shank, and metric threads for the gas cylinder lock and flash suppressor castle nut. Good! Now sign up for this clinic before yer #### falls off! :D

I'm in. I got a federal ord m14. I don't know if I'll be tweaking or just grateful it hasn't blown up, but worth the money either way. Thanks Hungry.

I've let Barney know that my spot is open for any new norc owner to learn about their rifle. Hope that whoever gets the spot enjoys the clinics as much as I have.

Hungry here: God bless ya! Thanks for making space for the newbs. You were lucky at the w ww.milcun.com M14 clinic back in July 2007, we had 2 days for M14 love spreading and then shooting up to 600m on the second day with iron sights also, and some of you with scoped M14's. Thanks again, your karma is sweet! I was tossing around the idea of a May BRRC clinic. Wanna be my point man? This will give SgtRockrules04 a break..... :rolleyes:
