Just a gimmick or something that might prove useful?

Hmmmm.....

All three companies use the same manufacture in the Philippenes. The Eliminator model is new and the only scope that will adjust for range by indicating a hold over point on the reticle. Seems to work as promised however many people find the scope a little bulky and a lot of the money your paying goes into the range finding components thus leaving a lesser quality scope (clarity, resolution and durability) than a traditional scope of the same dollar cost. Phil.

At least, you don't pay for rings, the Weaver/Picatinny cross-slot system clamps are integrated in the underside of the scope which makes for very low mounting even if it's a bulky optic.
Should fill the bill for coyotes and deer.
PP.

I picked one up to put on my 300 wsm. I have only taken 100y shots with it so far, I must say that is is heavy, however on my t3 it's probably not heavier that most gun scope combos.

I will say that I find the cross hair a bit thick for my liking. The illiminated dot for ranging does seem like it works great though. I was ranging all sorts of things and seeing where the bullet drop lighted up. Now i just need to find some ammo that will group better so I can start taking some longer shots.
