I have it mounted on a 9mm pistol.
Worked well for first year. Then it became intermittent. It would turn off after a couple of shots. I could turn it back on, but after a few more shots, it would go off.
I checked the worlds best trouble shooter - Google - and found that others had the same problem.
Seems the tension springs for the battery get tired.
The solution was easy, I cut a small piece of an elastic band, and put i on top of the battery. When I screw the cap back on (careful to not cross-thread!) the elastic adds to the pressure on the battery and it stays on.
A small piece of electrical tape inside the cap would do the same thing.
